“I enjoy tackling complex product and process challenges in a focused, clear manner. Too often they get stranded because:

• The focus on the long term disappears due to other matters that require attention;

• 'Just do it' is not sufficient for the complexity of the problem and lacks a structured, project-based approach;

• Treating symptoms instead of root causes;

• The potential of data analysis is not being utilized.

I prefer to combine substantive, process technology work with project management. I'm convinced of the value of a thorough root cause analysis and the objectivity of data. Both help to actually understand a problem and solve it sustainably. Measurable and assured results, such as increasing the OEE, make a project successful and satisfying.”

Wouter studied Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Groningen. Before joining XTR, he gained five years of experience in process technology, project management and operational management at Tata Steel and Smurfit Kappa.
