My motivation is to get answers to the following 2 questions: 'What do you actually want?' and 'How do you want to achieve that?' The first determines the direction and goals, the second is about processes and the people who that carry out processes.

Sjoerd is a real processes man – first chemical, then production and finally planning and control processes. He has extensive experience in designing, implementing and improving processes. The ultimate goal is not the process itself, but the optimal interaction between the process and the people in the process to make a maximum contribution to the set goals. Few things are better than putting those three in sync and seeing the results improve by leaps and bounds.

Sjoerd studied Chemical Technology at the University of Twente and completed an MBA at Imperial College in London. He has been closely associated with the operation for over 20 years, either through operational responsibility or through direct (process) support to the operation. Sjoerd has been an associate at ARV Group since 2022.
